Gavin is a solar engineer, and has a keen interest in sustainable development both internationally and within disadvantaged communities within Australia.  He has been heavily involved in solar projects in Nicaragua and the Cape York Peninsula and developed the solar component of the University of NSW's Indigenous Engineering Summer School. Gavin also co-ordinated an effort in conjunction with OzHarvest to divert all leftover food from the University of NSW's retail outlets into soup kitchens and homeless shelters.

Gavin has extensive knowledge of the state based, national and international greenhouse trading schemes that are currently operating. His passions lie in creating greenhouse gas reductions through energy efficiency and renewable energy projects, and Gavin is able fulfil this passion through his work at CRI.
