Clean Up Australia In the second half of 2007, the Carbon Reduction Institute partnered up with Clean Up Australia, Australia’s biggest non-profit environmental group. CRI will support Clean Up in their “Clean Up Our Climate” campaign and actively support the upcoming Clean Up Australia Day. Clean Up has long been more than one day of action. Across the nation and around the world Clean Up facilitates activities which engage communities, reduce waste, increase recycling, save water and remediate ecosystems. The Clean Up Our Climate campaign brings these actions together to empower people to make practical changes in their homes, workplace, lifestyle and community. Clean Up and CRI also offer you the option to offset the carbon emissions from your car, travel and energy usage on the Clean Up website.
Mercure Hotels Mercure Hotels, as part of the Accor group, offer high-class accommodation to make your stay away from home as comfortable and convenient as possible. Firmly rooted in its particular region, city and area, each hotel is unique, with a decorating theme inspired by local culture. Mercure is part of the Accor group, the European leader and a major global player in travel, tourism and corporate services. Mercure Hotels have engaged the Carbon Reduction Institute to help offset the emissions from the conferences carried out at their venue. To enable Mercure Hotels to offset the emissions from their conferences, CRI provided the hotels with a conference calculator that takes into account emissions from energy usage such as heating, lighting and cooking; as well as food and stationery provided at the conferences. Providing those calculators will give the Mercure Hotels a significant competitive edge over other, emissions intensive conference venue providers. Active International The Carbon Reduction Institute (CRI) and Active International have partnered up to further the low carbon economy. As 100% LowCO2 certified business, Active International promotes the CRI certification program. Active International customers can now join the Carbon Reduction Institute certification program using Active International trade credits. As a consequence of this partnership, the Carbon Reduction Institute is able to involve Active International customers in its carbon neutral certification program at a special rate; settling the difference with trade credits. Active International and the Carbon Reduction Institute invite you to take action against global warming and become a carbon neutral business.
Ethical Investor The Ethical Investor Magazine strives for high quality coverage of ethical investment opportunities and developments, corporate social responsibility and the triple bottom line. It also covers corporate governance, the ethics of mainstream investment and information on socially responsible finance products. Ethical Investor has teamed up with the Carbon Reduction Institute for their conferences ‘Carbon Neutral and Beyond’ . The Carbon Reduction Institute calculated all emissions arising from carrying out the two conferences in Sydney and Melbourne, including food, attendee travel and waste.
