LOCATION: Pope Street, Ryde

ORIGINAL LIGHTING

The Top Ryde City Living complex contained an extensive network of fire stairs, corridors and car park levels which were fitted with a mixture of linear fluorescent fittings. CRI supplied the site with new LED-tubes and dedicated fittings in lieu of the original high-powered units.

INSTALLED LED UNITS

A total of 434 LED fittings with LED tubes were installed throughout the site, comprising:9W ‘RLT’ linear LED lamps with microwave motion detection technology;

  • RLT Single 4-Foot Linear LED tubes, with dedicated fittings to replace standard fluorescent tubes
  • RLT Double 4-Foot Linear LED tubes, with dedicated fittings and emergency technology, to replace emergency fluorescent tubes
  • RLT Double 2-Foot Linear LED tubes, with dedicated fittings and emergency technology, to replace emergency fluorescent tubes

RESULTS
Predicated annual energy savings of 150.87MWh. This was estimated to be equivalent to yearly power bill savings of $24796.081
A predicted reduction in peak load of 17.22 kW
A predicted reduction of 157.16 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, equivalent to taking 63 cars off of the road.
This is based off of estimated annual operating hours, and relevant electricity bill information.

RESULTS

LOCATION: St Mary’s Road, Sydney

PRODUCT SUPPLIER: Syntech International

ORIGINAL LIGHTING

Domain Car Park was originally fitted with a mixture of two and four foot fluorescent tubes within metal-cage luminaires. CRI supplied Domain Car Park with Syntech retrofit LED lamps to replace the original fluorescent tubes.

INSTALLED LED UNITS

A total mix of 3,500 two- and four foot LED tubes were installed throughout the site, comprising of:

  • 9W ‘RLT’ linear LED lamps with microwave motion detection technology;
  • 18W ‘RLT’ linear LED lamps.

RESULTS

  • Annual energy savings of 546.2 megawatt-hours which is equivalent to yearly power bill saving in excess of $120,0001
  • A reduction in peak load in excess of 71 kilowatts
  • 5,800 Energy Savings Certificates (ESCs) were generated through the NSW Energy Savings Scheme which is equivalent to a rebate of $58,0002 on capital cost.
  • A reduction of 580 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, equivalent to taking 260 cars off the road.

Energy Efficiency Case Study: Knight Frank

CLIENT: Knight Frank, Michael Cameron

LOCATION: 80 George St, Parramatta NSW

PRODUCT SUPPLIER: Syntech International

ORIGINAL LIGHTING

The Knight Frank Building at 80 George St Parramatta was originally fitted with a mixture of CFLs and linear fluorescent lamps. CRI supplied Knight Frank with compatible Syntech LED lamps to replace the original highpower
units.

INSTALLED LED UNITS

A total of 356 LED lights were installed throughout the site, comprising of:

  • ‘CFM-R’ round LED fittings to replace compact fluorescent luminaires;
  • ‘RLT’ linear LED lamps in IP65 Casing to replace standard fluorescent tubes and old metal fittings.

RESULTS

  • Annual energy savings of 78.305 megawatt-hours which is equivalent to yearly power savings of $19,0001
  • A reduction in peak load of 7.59 kilowatts
  • 830 Energy Savings Certificates (ESCs) were generated through the NSW Energy Savings Scheme which is equivalent to a rebate of $83002 on capital cost through the Energy Savings Scheme.
  • A reduction of 83 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, equivalent to taking 17 cars off the road.
